Teaching kitchen of Tomas Bata University in Zlín
The aim of this project is to adapt the existing space at the faculty for teaching a new course focused on middle and senior management in the field of gastronomy. The project was designed to create a modern teaching kitchen that would be used for hands-on student learning - specifically for learning how to cook and operate modern kitchen technology.
The kitchen has been designed to allow practical training in modern kitchen technology and to provide students with the skills needed to manage and operate professional catering equipment. A monobloc table for student learning.
Kitchen equipment:
Stainless steel one-piece sandwich type worktop that is resistant to mechanical damage and high temperatures. This countertop is ideal for professional catering environments where heavy tools and high temperatures are required for food preparation.
The design panel underneath the plate for controlling induction units and other technological equipment, providing easy access and ensuring ergonomics when working. The panel makes it easy to control the various functions and technological devices in the kitchen.
Distribution columns with 230V sockets for powering equipment and technology in the kitchen. These posts are positioned to provide sufficient access to the power supply without interfering with the work area.
Bottom shelves for storing tools allow for better organisation of the workspace and easier access to the necessary equipment. Organisation of tools and materials is key to efficiency in the kitchen.
The sill provided stability for the whole assembly while contributing to the aesthetic appearance of the kitchen, which is important for creating a professional working environment.
